@freemo If they're scared just put googley eyes on it and it's a japanese mascot for self defense. Instant crowd pleaser.

Just finished my application for my gun conceal carry license. I have to admit, it will be really weird walking around with a loaded firearm every day. I have a feeling anyone who sees it on me will get offended or scared, maybe not though, I guess we will see.

@luna @freemo That people may have used prescriptivism in anti-trans agendas does not make prescriptivism itself anti-trans.

That's akin to saying that books are anti-gay because somebody wrote an anti-gay book once.

The logic simply doesn't follow.

I just had someone tell me that recognizing there is such as rules to the english language is the same thing as being anti-trans... this is on a post that had nothing to do with any topic related to the LGBTQ community (it was on a post asking the proper spelling of "no one"). Man you can't even make this stuff up.

@freemo I'm sure any trans person would tell you prescriptivism is directly anti-trans and is actively being used against us. Kindly fuck off and ...

I can't say I am surprised The Judge won this poll, not too many handguns can also take shotgun shells at the same time, fun gun.

Of the three guns I own what is your favorite?

It's important to know that a lot of the book ban horseshit going on right now is being driven by a vanishingly tiny number of people: *Eleven* people filed 60% of the 1000+ challenges the Washington Post reviewed.

@AmpBenzScientist @freemo Because CCI discontinued snake loads in .45 ACP, a friend of mine developed his own. It works quite nicely.

@freemo Desert Eagle in all three calibres. Same frame, different uppers in a kit, all don't in nickel finish. For the rifle, a Barret I think.... not for practicality, but just the sheer joy of being able to reach out and touch someone from a mile or more away.

Now on a budget, useful weapons, not toys... I'm pretty happy with my Remington new army, 1858. I might like another, but with the 12 inch barrel in stainless, and the detachable stock. For a rifle, I am seriously thinking about that KelTek SU19 or the Henry A7. I like light weight collapsible weapons that can still do what they are meant to do. Something that you can pack.

@freemo H&K G3A3 and a Beretta M92FS with the competition barrel and trigger.

I love precision but it's good to see what other countries can do.

@freemo If I was thinking pure vanity, it'd be a Barret 50 cal and a S&W 450 magnum as I have no need for the connective tissue in my shoulder and wrists.

If you could afford any gun, what handgun, and what rifle would you get?

@freemo I do not claim an expertise, but I do not see an application for which Judge works better than alternatives. The desire to shoot .410 makes it quite large. Meanwhile, shot from the rifled barrel scatters so much that it's basically useless beyond a snake. But one can achieve the same result against snakes with the snake shot. This leaves slugs, but the energy of a .410 slug about corresponds to a defensive 10mm (it exceeds a 9mm, of course). I see that I placed myself into a position where I have to pee on your parade if I am to justify my off-hand remark, which wasn't my original intention, but oh well. If you enjoy shooting that gun, it's all that matters.

@freemo @JonKramer

I remember when...

a guy showed me his new S-100 bus memory card with 256K of RAM, and I said, "What do you need all that memory for?"

(my first computer had 32K of RAM because I couldn't afford the full 48K.)

I bought two new guns today. The first one is a judge (pictures here with my target practice). The other gun is an Hk 9mm, picture and target i follow up thread.

#Google honored a #DMCA request from an Israeli company and removed a web browser for #AndroidTV from the Play Store. The request was filed because the app has the potential to access a pirate site.

This is obviously ridiculous yet Google still has declined one of the developer's appeals, and failed to respond to the second. How can they be this incompetent when it comes to frivolous DMCA notices and false copyright strikes? People are abusing their systems like crazy.
