Bluesky BRIDGE is similar to Fediverse and it's culture?

Bluesky BRIDGE is similar to Fediverse and it's culture?

Maybe you think it's just like another email provider added?
(No I think)

Notes on DISsimilarities of protocal and providers in the Fediverse context...

TLDR
█1█ It's not using the same protocol for a start - if it was more native then maybe, which is why █2█ is important

█2█ The culture is why we came here, ethics and ethos, promise of no capitalism or concretely less by saying NO to some things...

and why we came here (not there) in the first place...

-------------------
LONGER VERSION: More points
-------------------
Few people mention it's just like email Bluesky being added.... so a bit about that:

█ Email / SMTP protocol is or was mostly the same across all providers, whereas bridging like Bluesky is a more different.

More like mimicking or tapping into our protocol which is more like tapping into our culture / ethos without believing in it/
Not believing in making it more free / less capitalistic selling out (of everything not just data).

It is the main reason why we came here in the first place and why we will also leave if it gets too twitter-like / Bluesky invaded).

If you believe in "Jack Dorsey" then he has quit the project already as a sign of what he thinks.

Jack Dorsey has removed his Bluesky account a while back and not working on it at all other than general board of council, so this as a kind of bar / stronger signal perhaps = not being part of it any more makes it more clear without reading overly into it too much either.

Bluesky =
█ much more commercial entities and culture vs. what we defined as not.
█ and then making the users we were choosing from come back here as personal politics is obviously different endangers us by making it 'too easy' (commercial) again and too uncultured (people who do not choose their servers on principle / no-interest in community or caring about the protocol) is just more of the same reasons for this side of the differences,

Overall lacking of care or detail in life (users and company are different) that is spreading like a cancer for all the providers in the world and it's users. So we learned these lessons many times. Don't let them in, ok they might try but don't invite them! 🤨

█ Mastodon :mastodon: and Fediverse :fediverse: was clearly opposite to many things and just turning this into another kind of snoop-city is not great for me/many.
We see everything converted into the same shit show, from taxis to the next thing...

Can you imagine how powerful and even good it might feel to have so much power at your finger tips...

Like Icarus- are tech people trying to touch the clouds in the same way?.... to feel that warm glow?

Must be similar - having a mass of electrically-charged information-processing stuff at your finger-tips that can do almost anything - lights blinking like crazy... like an extension of your own being!

Touching and even Owning the clouds... Icarus style: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Icarus

Obviously can be too much for one person to "fly too close to the sun", but perhaps many will try and industry knows it too.

In the right hands, it might just win it for us as a more responsible version of the status-quo... called Fediverse but ultimately something will cut somewhere...

So I wouldn't encourage anyone to try to touch the cloud or indeed think it can be all done remotely without A LOT of conscious humanity involved almost before or in between all that industrial BIGTech...

"Everyone believes in the freedom of the bathroom..." (Having a bathroom each to avoid problems of sharing?)... [Interesting Comment about human challenges: see point #2]...

Comments from Video...
invidious.fdn.fr/watch?v=Lf2nv

@rwess said:

Good one! The larger and longer (in time) you can make the moral scope the better.

Unfortunately I'm not sure we're up to it. 4 things:

█1) I hate guys like Stalin but he was right in this: “a single death is a tragedy, a million deaths are a statistic” - same goes for other immoral acts, like torture, or any abuses for economic reasons (e.g. various forms of slavery).
Similarly, Asimov's famous metaphor: "If two people live in an apartment, and there are two bathrooms, then both have what I call freedom of the bathroom, go to the bathroom any time you want, and stay as long as you want to for whatever you need. Everyone believes in the freedom of the bathroom. But if you have 20 people in the apartment and two bathrooms, no matter how much every person believes in freedom of the bathroom, there is no such thing. You have to set up times for each person, you have to bang at the door, aren't you through yet, and so on. And in the same way, democracy cannot survive overpopulation. Human dignity cannot survive it. Convenience and decency cannot survive it. The value of life not only declines, but it disappears. It doesn't matter if someone dies." - Morality and dignity are intertwined, and fragile.

█2) Also, I think the S-risks in "the wild" are usually greatly overstated. If the ecosystem is healthy and balanced the number of survival niches for all kinds of sentients is immense and there is plenty of pleasure. If the ecosystem is "tight" and survival niches become squeezed (e.g. due to human incursion) then the S-risks increase greatly.

█3) I would pay the $5 in "Pascal's mugging". I'd maybe ask a few more questions though - and if the mugger answered that he was investing it in Bitcoin, for the long term, to save those masses of suffering beings in the future - I'd give him $10. 😁

█4) We humans are great exploiters and deniers. We will teach AI that behavior; we already have. AI will either replace us or fix us (if it deems it worth its while.) - or maybe it will just "fix" us like we "fix" cats and dogs, and we'll just naturally die out from lack of procreation... So it goes... (as Vonnegut would say).

AI might just be like any other business machine or mechanism - just used by to replace humans ("replaced by robots" style)...

AI might just be like any other machine or mechanism used by other mankind:

- to save need for human jobs
(and pay them less for more mundane jobs as a result of magnification of specialist or idiot / loser roles)

- to 'save' human decision-making (decrease human friction and get your way more often from top to bottom)

- Top-down-to-Tech-to-Public process as increasing leverage as human communication and skill and real community is reduced / replaced (although admittedly it wasn't perfect but a robot version not great either)

Like if git hub co-pilot can pull coding rendering you obsolete / useless (or good for that supermarket job).

The reason I stick to us and is because there was never really money in good things from bad / col people- they ONLY wanted to take advantage more from people like giving them debt is similar to giving job. We need a better way and even if that's cringe FreeSchool and your stuff / their stuff :) We have enough numbers to "stick it to the man" and that mentality often...

Judging a Book and People by their cover... [Podcast Audio]

Judging People like 'Judging a Book by their cover... [Podcast Introduction]

Optional reading....

Looking at the phenomenon of :fediverse: not replying in a lot more depth, similar to emails people don't answer consciously and deliberately for many nuanced reasons. Is this eventually crucial to humanity (?)
and as basic communication something to improve(?)...

******************************
MORE DEPTH FOLLOWS
OPTIONAL READING
*****************************
OK... in /some/ way external ignorance and judging people is a normal everyday thing, but not cool in my book and gone too far now where it renders things fake or useless.
People "Judging a book by their cover" more often... which isn't ok after a while and probably under the radar now... or has plenty of room for improvement.

Because actually we and our communication skills are seemingly dying. (no drama intended just dying)

And we need better communication - in everything now. Even more when we rely on just text... (which is why I'm going for audio heavily now as you can feel people better without knowing anything about them, and see / hear they care about topic)... no flags etc...

---------------------------------------
Extra / for those that want...
---------------------------------------

Looking at the phenomenon of :fediverse: not replying is genuine here because constantly I find (after asking / talking to many) that they are the best / genuine / dedicated people but need help gently in their ways... as we all do.

Analysis also provided about the nuanced set of 'I'm too busy' and 'I haven't got time' variations which are really cover-up and cloaked:

ignorance,
disgust,
distance,
judgement,
hypocrisy,

deception (of self or not facing self, deception of others)

non-player attitude,

force - from enforcing silence / being silent

disconnection - ('attachment theory' from human need to communicate

existing structures - who don't solve things and like bad parent, just hard relationships / abusive / isolating / false)

If interested in the key words above, follow.
-----------------------------
Also just say hi or yes to what is interesting and I'll focus on that in the next audio.
-----------------------------
All the above represents what 'looks like' people are interested (usually in other people) but sometimes people only want to extract and not accept the human things or what more baggage they bring them (which in overall sense we can all help with solving or understanding and by not doing create / allow more sterile and cold places and even enable cultures like fascism from the lack of input from the many who say little).

So achieving something but not really is what happens often. And doing it in a way that is detrimental over time if it's less human along the way.

Also when it's not in your interest or their interest to trying to find a way, it is twice as bad because you're not even giving a chance to solving it (again along the way).

We know copying / following the structure(s) we're in doesn't work.

People still don't know about much and don't want to hear about it either!
(look at your parents as a quick test) ...which is ok until really it's not and society becomes one big cold ignorant mass.

It's actually doing the opposite from then on and that list above (which I consider as true / evident) starts to happen if you're not incorporating and incrementing those things wanted into you life personally at some level or all levels.

If interested follow / add comments.

---------------------------------------
Other stuff I should cut off but you made it this far...
---------------------------------------

I aim to speak for those unspoken people and unspoken feelings.
Might be left and right a bit, but you're here to balance also.

To say more unsaid things mostly because I calculate that protecting ourselves is of no benefit any more and just covering up into a turtle.

Your image or job etc is simply less worthy of time as time goes and being lost to the opposite things (i.e. not together <-- which is what we need more often).

So together, with people, something better will come, working on those human internal things more than externalised projects which forget the internal purification. Ultimately by-design just another money thing or less-human project is not going to work.

We are trying to get to a better alignment, and people need to be their own justice... and speak up for themself.

If that is not a different or real thing - let me know also.

With Thanks.
