@hashtaggrammar So glad to hear that everything went well! Hope he has a speedy recovery.
Today's #RandomQuestion is...
@Surasanji I'd figure out who came first, the chicken or the egg.
But seriously, I don't know. Solving a mystery may remove the wow factor and with some stories, I enjoy the mystique. I would like to find Atlantis, not necessarily discover that it was all just a great story. I would like to prove that aliens exist, not find out that they are a hoax.
This is a thinker of a question. Nicely done!

Hey there #qoto ! Hope you're all having a fantastic day so far. My boss' dog is in the office today, which is always nice. He's an excellent manager.
Today's #randomQuestion is as follows:
If you could solve one as of yet unsolved mystery, problem, theorem or other such unknown what would it be?
Again, no wrong answers!
For me, I'd like to solve the P vs NP problem. It's way outside my skill set, sure, but it probably be a way to get some sort of movie deal, right?
Looking forward to hearing your guy's answers!
@Demo318 That's a pretty awesome video. As I learn more, it's absolutely astonishing how well integrated and systemically optimized the human body is.
My wife and I were actually talking about the advances in modern medicine just in the past couple decades. I had some heart issues so I got to spend several days in the hospital. The equipment used to assess my heart was pretty amazing. I joke about the tiny scar on my wrist from my heart cath procedure. I say I should get a tattoo next to it saying "This way to my heart" cause it's so subtle.
Like you mentioned, the biggest take-away is gratitude though. I'm fortunate to live in an age where all this knowledge and technology is available.
@mooselwhipes You have to rely on healthy foods to live a healthy life, too, and that is for the rest of your life as well.
Consider that there is no sharp line delineating medicines and healthy foods. It's more a continuum. Think of a range from fresh vegetables to traditional herbs to synthetic medications.
It's a matter of choosing to consume what your body needs for your current stage of life.

@twdockery Absolutely! I was amazed how a change in my diet helped greatly reduce symptoms with allergies. I cut out a lot of dairy over a decade ago which in turn reduced my allergies.
Whenever I'm having issues, diet is one of the first places I look. Too much sodium? Too little iron? Etc. Fortunately, my wife and I are able to afford locally sourced produce and have a yard that we are able to dabble in gardening.
One thing that I have been unable to really buy into that my wife swears by is oils. She has an oil for everything. Maybe I'm stubborn, but I just haven't experienced any benefit when I use them.
I’ve always been absolutely amazed at how self-regulating the human body is. It can identify where an infection is and send in the appropriate antibodies to heal itself. It compensates for so much and can survive it some of the worst environments (like my college years). I never enjoyed biology but as I grow older I am absolutely fascinated by it.
One of the worst things that has happened to me this year though is the need to rely on medicine to live a healthy life. Well, it’s more of a bittersweet feeling. I hate that I will be reliant on a medicine for the rest of my life but I am so amazed and grateful for the advances in modern medicine.
I won’t lie. There are times when I’m taking my medicine, I mutter to myself, “We can rebuild him. We have the technology. We can make him better than he was. Better, stronger, faster.”

Hi, Folks!
I am a tenured Associate Professor at La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA, USA. I have my B.S. Degree with a Double Major in Chemistry and Physics and my Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry with specialties in Ultrafast Laser Spectroscopy, Instrument Design, and Automation Software Development. I teach in an interdisciplinary undergraduate program called Integrated Science, Business, and Technology in which our students study the process of developing scientific discoveries into new products and services using collaborative business practices. I develop and teach courses in Energy, Materials, and Informatics, and have personal research interests in Robotics and Machine Intelligence.
After joining Facebook as soon as La Salle was added to the Facebook servers in 2005 and Joining Twitter in 2007, I created the Facebook and Twitter accounts for the University as I was unable to convince our IT department that it was important for the University to have a presence on social media.
After openly sharing my personal Political positions as a Constitutional Conservative and my support of Donald Trump, the backlash on Facebook and Twitter was so severe that I no longer use those networks.
As a Conservative Academic, I understand and deeply experience what it means to be a minority. I'm giving Mastadon a spin in search of respectful conversation. #introduction

I'm a late 20s mechatronics engineer who helps design and build electric vehicles. In my off time I play hockey and hit the gym. I'm also getting used to a life as a new dad!! Looking to connect with some like minded people. #introduction
@mooselwhipes that’s a good point. This could be movie based but it feels more like the hand picked playlist of a 50something woman with poor musical taste.... I say that, because I happen to know that’s what this particular playlist is.
@realmattseymour I could see a Canadian playlist, but there's ABBA. All three bands/singer did have massive singles for blockbuster movies.
@Surasanji I would like to master carpentry. My grandfather was a master carpenter trained by his father and he made some beautiful pieces. Unfortunately, that skill was not passed down to me. I'd love to be able to carry on that family trait.
Gooood Monday #qoto ! Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend.
Today's #randomquestion is as follows: Imagine you discovered a way to master a single skill instantly. You know this will only work once. What skill would you choose to master?
I'd personally want to master Bushcraft survival.
#QOTO announcement. We will be doubling the server power of this instance later today (we start in about 4 hours). There should only be a momentary downtime as we switch DNS names hopefully. However if you find the server inaccessible your local DNS may have a long timeout on its cache. It will resolve shortly if that happens.
#introduction Like others, I got frustrated with the birdsite and migrated here. Finally settled on an identity and instance. I work in the #webdev world, but I'm not a dev (I tell the devs when they write terrible code). Personally, I'm an amateur #polymath, so my interests are everywhere.
