@ravenclaw Huh, interesting. Never knew that this was a side-effect of showing all responses in all timelines on my previous server... Because I used to see boosts all the time everywhere! I literally saw everything, heh. In a way it is spammy, but also very revealing because you could see what was going on. Man, I'm going to miss that in a weird way.

@ravenclaw Just letting you know that even deaf people listen to music. Not to the lyrics of course, but it's not the end of the world. ;) You'll switch to the feeling and the beats of the music instead. I'd say... probably also prepare for that one, so that you have a nice collection of music that you can still enjoy later.

The annoying thing about having your usual mastodon server suddenly dying on you is that you're too late to jot down who you were following, and that you don't really have a chance to let your followers know that you're moving away. :P Oh well!

The only thing I'm missing from the old server is that even responses are shown in the timelines. Makes for a lot more opportunities to get interaction and people joining in the discussions. Found a few more interesting people that way.

@ravenclaw I read 'As long as it is legal you wont ever get banned from the server', which works for me. But I'm more wondering about.. the general atmosphere on the server, y'know? Is it serious business here, or can we talk whatever (so long it's legal and respectful of course). Since in the About this server I read stuff like S.T.E.M. and such, and my mind kind of blanks out at that point. ;)

Hi folks. Kinda looking for a new server to post my stuff in. My old one's been flaky regularly and has been down a while now.

I'm a gamer and a dabbling coder, so I might talk some nonsense about those topics. I work in an office in an educational setting where I might rant about MS software, ICT, and similar. Love Star Trek and more of those SciFi shows.

Any problems with this, or is this server chill enough to handle my random weird thoughts?
