Well looks like @Sphinx passed the nominations for moderator. He had several nominations, including by all staff members, and no opposition.
I will make an official announcement shortly but looks like he is going to be a new moderator here!
Help people. I wanted to move money from Bank of America to a new bank, but I cant decide which one.
I mostly want to find some sort of high text, maybe online-only bank with a really feature rich mobile app.
I would love to hear suggestions, USA only (my europe account is Bunq which is great).
I just switched over to using a new wallet that I'm kinda excited about. It was hand made by this old artisan in Sardinia Italy. He didnt speak any english, and was kind of out in the middle of nowhere. To me that makes this wallet extra special.
It even has a custom design printed on the surface he hand did depicting Sardinia with some classical stylizations from the area. I got to watch him craft a new wallet in front of me too, it was cool to see.
Since we passed 50 users on our Discourse forum the QOTO forum is now out of bootstrap mode! All new users will now start at trust level 0. Thanks everyone.

@zleap To me when looking at things this way the fact that humans exist for only a fraction of the timeline is not particularly inciteful. That is true of every species on the timeline.
What is more impressive to me is that it took 4.5 billion years to produce the first life with our sort of intelligence. Plus it took only 1 billion years to for life to be created and then 3 billion more years just to go from single cell to multicellular.
The pace of evolution speeds up over time in a sense.
The Earth has been around for about 1/3 of the entire time the universe has existed.
Its extraordinary that at least on earth it took that long for life to develop that was intelligent enough to know this fact.
It literally took scales on the order of magnitude as the total time the universe has been existed to get where we are... sucks we are also on the verge of messing that all up.

A High Dude Spurgs About His 
I'm a bit high, and have been drinking for about an hour or so at this point. I would like to wax poetic about my cat. Because I love her.
My cat is a fantastic cat. She is just the best. I come home after a shit day and there she is to greet me at the door.
She does this every day, but after a day like today? An infuriating, frustrating, fucking annoying as fuck day- today, it was just what I needed.
I pick her up, and she purrs. It's so loud. She's just so happy to see me. Every time it happens it's the best feeling. This emotion and knowledge of knowing that this thing loves me.
This semi-sentient animal is sentient enough to actually fucking love me. IT blows me away- I'm someone who's got a fuckton of issues with Bipolar being probably the largest and best known to my fedi-friends.
But there are a lot of others. Intimacy issues, anxiety, self-esteem issues- the list can go on for a while. I'm a fucking wreck of a human being in a lot of ways.
Birdy doesn't give a single fuck about any of that. Not one.
I rescued her, and she spent at least 6 months on the street as a feral cat. She's still got her own issues related to that. She's a bit bitey sometimes, she's very destructive at times- she's got her own issues. She's a little broken, just like me.
And we love each other. She's right here beside me after what is objectively a pretty shitty day and purring. Just because I'm here with her.
I've never felt this kind of love before- only the last year and a half of my life, basically.
Sometimes she's stupid. Sometimes she's smart. Sometimes she's fucking infuriating- but she's MY stupid-smart-infuriating cat, and I love her so much that some days my HIGHEST desire is just to get home so that I can meet her at the door, pick her up, and hug her.
She'll purr, and I'll just whisper into her ear about how much I love her and miss her and that moment for me is fucking everything I need.

Well the point of a TL;DR is to reduce verbage rather than increase it. So iterating specific groups seems less helpful to me is all. Which is why I'd reduce that whole ball of wax (considering your points) to basically this (keep in mind we elaborate more elsewhere):
