@mur2501 That's the perfect advertisement for me to NOT come over there, honestly. ;)

Every year, the Men's Club (women can join too) of our school group are working together to DIY up yet another Xmas ornament/furniture for our auditorium.

Now we've got giant wooden Xmas trees littering the place. It's getting fuller every year. I wonder if we ever get to a point where you simply can't enter that damn room anymore. 😂

@mur2501 Cool for me is 20C or less. 20-25C is 'about perfect'. 25+ is I'm dying! Or maybe 'I am about to die!' and 30+ is 'I AM DYING!'. 35+ is... silence. I'll be dead by then. :P

@mur2501 Wait.. waaaaaait a minit... For you '16C' is similar to 'freezing cold'. So if you say 'kinda cool' you mean still 30+C? :P

@mur2501 Except I don't know what Kashmir's climate is like? :D

@mur2501 Maybe so! I don't know what's going to happen with this. Only that it's not for us anymore because we've moved on with newer tech.

So, I've had my physical exercise for today. Filled up a cage container with the old computer equipment that's going away. They're too outdated now; Stuff with VGA ports and DVI ports, old cables, old mice and keyboards. We're switching over to laptops for the most part.

Aw darn. Coming wednesday is Terrible Xmas Sweater Day at job. I don't work on wednesdays. 😋

@mur2501
No no no, PURPLE 💜 FRIDAY, not bruised Friday! Besides, that's more blueish.

*Eyes the news* It is purple friday? I've never heard of this before... I don't think I've got anything purple, though... so this semi red/purple cardigan will have to do. :P

@michelle In Dutch we have a (very non-flattering) song about this figurehead:

Holderdebolder
Hitler hangt op zolder
Met een touw om zijn nek
En een prop in zijn bek
Daar hangt die oude gek

@JonathanMBR Only a shame he drew such an ugly human being... But he's got mad talent!

@mur2501 We found the cause of wars, people! Stop the nobel prizes!

Well, more seriously, maybe the nobel prize awarders need to be more critical of whom they award to.

@valleyforge Doesn't sound good to me. Homeschooling is limited by the parents' knowledge I have the idea. And not every parent is smart. In fact, it could be a downwards spiral. Unless it's something different here?

@michelle Okay, and? It's more useful to explain why you post those pictures. That guy's not without controversy, y'know. I'm sure you have an idea when you posted it but it might be lost on us.

@thor So they all get the same classes, and then based on the grades they get from 1 to 6 you decide what vocations they can take? Seems kinda a waste of resources to me.

I mean, seems more useful to immediately teach the lower levels the more practical classes (cooking, basic maths, normal languages, basic biology, etc) while the higher levels learn the more theoretical side of things (advanced maths, more languages, higher biology, chemistry, etc).

But I gotta go to bed now, otherwise it is going to be 'Meh' at job, and I don't want that. We can continue this convo another time. Good night. ;)

@thor Eh.. okay. So in highschool you already lump them together. Igh. We actually put them in appropriate levels of competence classes so they can work together at their appropriate difficulty. I mean, is everybody going to learn calculus then? I know plenty of people from lower levels who'd never be able to do that, how do you solve that?! Not everybody's capable of learning calculus! And yes, I did learn calculus at highschool.

@thor Same here. The basic idea is still there, but a shitton of stuff has been renamed/adjusted. And the classes also have been adjusted. I believe they're more practical oriented now so the pupils have an easier time figuring out what they can do later, that's what we were sorely lacking back then. But some things seems to have been oversimplified I have the feeling if I look at my sister's kids.
