@Exsangus It would have competition from the region in Midsomer I'm sure!

@Exsangus 😂 As dangerous as the hospital in Diagnosis Murder? 🤣

Aww, California? Damn, they fooled me!

@Exsangus Not in Cabot Cove, right? (I've been watching way too much Murder She Wrote ;) )

@LittleTimmy Yeah, they have a generator where you need uhm... I dunno which, diesel? Something like that. But that costs fuel. They used that for a while before they definitely moved there. Now it's a backup thing. :)

I have solar panels myself as well, it's great! Gas prices don't affect me as badly in combination with tihs and the heat pumps I recently installed as well. I don't have as many solar hours as Spain does, but it helps. :D

@CPhase Heh, I guess you could improve it by making it less USA-centric? :D

@fi Actually, I think it's a neat feature. That way you can spread someone's word without spamming them with notifications that you quoted them. Especially when it's public service announcement-type posts, for example, like I've done with some of my Mastodon-related toots.

@fi The little caveat is that it won't notify the one whose toot you quoted. You'd still have to tag them seperately if you want them to know you quoted it!

@fi Ah yeah, an added feature. It's indeed useful! I make use of it to expose another toot which wouldn't be as visible with a boost (because the latter only gets shown to your followers).

@LittleTimmy My bro moved to Spain a few months ago and he's definitely embracing the solar energy. He has to because his new home's rural enough that he's not connected to the electricity grid. ;) But he's recently bought some more panels and installed them. They're having a nice amount of power now with big batteries! I think they could easily survive 5 days of rainy weather, for example.

@camino Hello! First reaction on your post! :ablobcheer:

@fi Oh well, you've got the 'get rid of twitter' part down pat now! ;) The rest might differ per instance.

@kmontenegro Huh, what does ICE mean there? I only know it as the highspeed German trains.

@geekmomprojects A way to aid with exposing exceptional content is to boost it, and if you follow more people they might boost (what they think is) exceptional content as well!
