@freemo They could've delivered at my neighbours? That's always been an option. Or a central deposit I could get it from if need be if re-delivery next day wasn't an option either.

Leaving it behind unattended requires permission. I never gave that.

@Bosbesje@mastodon.nl To be honest, ik weet niet eens hoe onze huidige burgermeester heet.

@Bosbesje@mastodon.nl @hvangalen

Berend Boertje ging uit tuffen,
Met zijn trekker naar Stroe puffen,
De weg was rechts,
De weg was rechts,
Nooit kwam Berend Boertje weer terecht?

@WandelStock@mastodon.art ... brothers? Sooo... did they answer that interviewer with something like 'Well.. he got born and there we are, best buds for life!'? :P

First time this happened to me... package left under the bush next to my front door. Gave the delivery company a negative review since this is not an action I want to encourage in the future.

@Bosbesje@mastodon.nl Je zou willen dat je zo een coole burgermeester had. 😂

@StroomAfwaarts Precies.

Maar dan is er ook een stroming binnen de audiologisten- en artsenkring die beweert dat als een kind CI heeft, ze zoveel moeten leren praten en vooral niet moeten gebaren. :blobunamused:

Alsof gebaren het praten cancelt. Idioot gewoon.

What the hell have I been watching? 😂

Bommen Berend better become a huge event this year to justify this silly video!

Woke up way too early as my dream got stuck into an internal monologue where I faced a hearing dad who's got a deaf toddler, and told the dad that he's wasting his boy's life by not teaching him sign language.

I got so annoyed at that fucking imaginary dad that I just got out of bed.

@Pat Clothes I do hang. But towels and bedsheets I'd prefer to be dried in a dryer. Breaks the fabric up nicely and makes them soft. A good alternative to using fabric softeners. ;)

@Pat I don't use dryer sheets. But those dryer balls are making that the clothes are not clumped together in the dryer, creates more space between clothes, and thus dry clothes quicker and possibly even save a bit on power in dryers which has sensors for humidity and stop when it's dry enough.

I'm interested in that. Plus you could optionally add a nice smelling ointment of some kind in those (generally woolen) balls so it spreads through the clothes too.

@Pat They'd be called clothesline balls then, so probably not!

I've been trying to make my 2 backup bikes serviceable again. And here I see the huge difference between an open chain guard (kettingkast) and a closed chain guard...

The bike with the closed chain guard will be able to be put back in use pretty quick, no problem.

The one with the open chain guard however... I think there's like 10 more chain links I have to break up and remove the rust from, but that'll have to wait until tomorrow because my fingers are pretty sore. :p

It's also time, after 2 decades of use, that I order some more Kroon Oil Tefspray. Gods, that's a great rust remover!

@root Who the heck makes fun of minimum wage jobs? I always am thankful to them for doing the job...

TIL about dryer balls. O.o
Never knew I needed it, but I do now!

@fraggle@octodon.social Not many are. Luxembourgh isn't exactly that famous. Not enough weed^Wwindmills and clogs I bet!

@urusan You haven't seen that episode of Life Death & Robots, have you? Where house appliances are rebelling against humanity?

Yeahhh... no thanks!
