Uh been playing MacGuffin's Curse for a few hours...

I continued off an old save I had and had to figure out again wtf I was supposed to do. I guess I'm doing well because the save completion percentage went from 52% to 76%. :P

Definitely time for a break, my brain feels broken now. It's like Sudoku, but a more extreme version of it (hey, you turn into a werewolf, if that ain't extreme, then I don't know what is!).

In the game Talisman: Origins, when I defeat an enemy spirit, I have the option to capture it as spirit or to take it as a trophy.

Trophy is pretty straightforward, but what does capturing a spirit actually do? They become part of my followers, but what's the advantage of that?

I can't seem to find information about it. Their manual only mentions trophies, nothing about capturing spirits.

I kinda wonder why Wordle is so popular now. We've got a game show on TV here for decades, it's called LINGO and that's the exact same. It was wildly popular in the 90's... and is apparently still being aired.

Basically everybody's going retro now. ;)

Once again I've beaten emperor Stuck. This time I can add the Warrior to the list of classes that's defeated him.

Having 'All front cards become this type' and 'Destroy all cards of this type' combo is pretty nice. Especially when there are a lot of columns on the screen.

When facing the emperor himself, I mostly chose those Wildstones as the type, hence why I have a nice amount of Wildstone Cards accumulated here, usually it's about 4-5 of those after a session. I can buy nice upgrades with this! 😁

Ehh, I'm not sure but I think either the repair/sell labels or icons are swapped. I'll be pretty pissed if I accidentally sell a satellite when I wanted to repair them. :P

Whew, 100%ed the achievements of Crash Drive 3. That was quite a ride! Still a fun game but I think I probably should take a break now, lol.

Putting on clothes which were heated up on top of the radiator is so nice...

...unless they have metal bits on them. Ow ow ow ow ow!

Spent 4 hours troubleshooting dad's computer (well, not the full 4 hours, but I spent 4 hours over at my parents' place in total, including free dinner) to figure out why it wouldn't work with dad's brand new big monitor.

Turns out that I needed to set the monitor from Displayport 1.2 to Displayport 1.1. Of course, the OSD with those settings wasn't even accessible without a working computer attached to it... so glad I brought my laptop along so I could actually get to the monitor's settings.

Couldn't display the full 4K resolution either on his old rig, but so long the aspect ratio was right, 1440p is fine for him. He wanted stuff to be displayed big anyway (scaled up his display by 175% on top of this too).

While I had my laptop around, I also made a shitton of notes about dad's equipment so that I have some reference material at hand next time I need to troubleshoot his PC again. Might need it next time when we go replace his HDD for an SSD.

All in all, the evening ended satisfactory... it's a lot easier to fix stuff if you have a reliable computer next to you. I love my laptop.

You know, I wouldn't mind having one of those drawing tablets where you can draw straight on it with a stylus and with the press of a button everything's gone.

Great for temporary notes without having to waste all this paper here...

I finished watching Hilda, The Mountain King. I've already watched the Hilda series before, and the last episode ended with an enormous cliffhanger. The movie continues on where the series ended at.

My observations:
Movie is very nice, totally a great continuation.
Not everything is what it seems.
Don't mix Witch Magic and Troll Magic!
Stupid doves just won't die.
Ending is satisfying, I feel that this Hilda story is pretty much finished.

I can recommend watching this animation!

So, my current Steam Winter Sale purchase consists only of DLCs. The actual games I purchased were all Fanatical bundle games. ;)

Just finished watching Inside Out. That movie's story is so much deeper than its animations would make you believe... I'm seriously impressed.
Usually I take breaks while watching a movie, but with this one I just wanted to continue watching. That's quite an achievement, woo!

Happy new year from the Netherlands!

Now to wait until people are done shooting millions of euro into the sky so I can go sleep...

I'm really a sucker for Fanatical's Build-Your-Own-Bundles...

*Is a few games richer again*

So far I've bought more games from Fanatical than from Steam this Winter Sale. :P

Hope I'll get some more 5G pumped into my body next week friday. :P I demand 5G reception already!

(I probably should also buy a new phone, but that's irrelevant!)

Man, Monster Slayers is a bit broken here and there. It's a nice game but it's also very unpolished.

So I tried out the Knight class, and was in a dungeon fighting a Troll. Well.. he got regen 25 eventually. But surprise, so did I! I have a nice trinket which can up my regen gradually!

So, both got to regen 25 (max possible), and both were not strong enough to lower each other's HP permanently...

That was boring. I aborted it and quit the damn knight. I'll play some other class instead. The rogue was actually a lot of fun with stealing the opponent's cards. Might go for it again.

Of course the BFG is on BBC right now. Like every year. ;)

I've always thought that it was a pretty nice fantasy tale up until they went to meet the queen. After that I found it getting stupid quick. Who the heck cares about the British queen? And why did they even allow the girl to come along when capturing the rest of the giants? That was quite a dangerous situation.

Stupid movie, really.

Iemand anders die ook meedoet aan Dr. Denker's van het Dagblad van het Noorden ()? Ik heb tot zover toe ongeveer de helft opgelost. Ik kan wel wat meedenkers gebruiken.
