@skells WEF?
@trinsec well, I didn't know about the RSS feed. I've just looked now, and I only see it from looking at the <link> tags in HTML.
I suppose I don't really mind since I make most of my posts to be public. Still, architecturally, I prefer the application to make subscription where both people know about it the easier option. Often, folks who are interested in me are interesting to me, so I like to follow back: I think that's typical on social media unless you're famous or something like that.
@trinsec thanks. I'm not sure I like that: I'd rather know when someone's keeping tabs on me, even if it is only public posts
I see a thing about "subscribing" on my #mastodon profile now. don't we already have "following" what is this?
been listening to a series of podcasts about the DISC model of behavior. it's bullshit, full of stereotypes, and even if it measures accurately, it literally only tells you about two dimensions of a person's behavior*, but there are at least a couple ways it's useful anyway. If you're dealing with people who actually have these stereotypes in their head and use them as communication tools, you can probably switch them over to more useful ways of communicating, depending on the situation. Second, if you're not use to thinking about how other people communicate and are motivated differently from yourself, DISC is decent crutch to get further along in that direction.
* Thinking about this geometrically, I think there's also a property of the "points" in this 2d space that they aren't describable in two dimensions because the DISC "point" is really a shadow of a higher dimensional behavioral description.
(I think of a point as a description of a person's behavior over a certain time span)

this is actually kinda dope. with a few tweaks to give the shavings more dimensionality, it would be even better. would be nice it see how this technique is used in a video game.
actually, makes me think of something like, you carve, sculpt, or draw something in a video game; the game has an image recognition AI; the AI recognizes an animal or something (has to be constrained to some extent) and a second, generative algorithm creates usable, in-game resources based on the thing you drew. some really neat story-telling potential in something like that
just saw this movie, and the rock scenes, particularly the ones where they move, definitely have me Marcel the Shell vibes after they had just shown a preview for that movie

@wolf480pl taxes don't necessarily go to people and organizations that need alms though. closer is what we pay into social security
@lupyuen oh. I am sad to see that. although I've never read Doraemon, it's influence is definitely visible (explicitly, by reference, and more subtly) in a number of my favorite manga and anime. I'm glad to be reminded of the work though.

oh, don't mind me--I'm just sitting here in the fricken future.
@lucifargundam bombs?! where's that? good luck with Canonical. don't know much about them as an employer, but I did see part of a Canonical off-site meeting that seemed pretty cool. IDK if that's a typical thing
on the second slice, definitely tasted the matcha. it's subtle, but undoubtedly present. me gusta
Made a "Matcha loaf". About 1 part whole wheat to 2 parts bread flour, abt 16g matcha powder, and 18g sugar. otherwise, basically this recipe: https://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/basic-homemade-bread/
I did proof it for about a day in the fridge at 100% hydration though then a night at room temp for another nearly 7hrs (basically until I woke up and saw the dough trying to escape the bowl. barely shaped the loaves: just divided, dusted and sorta dropped em in the pans.
flavor is pretty good: a bit of the sour, enough of the salt. wasn't sure whether the matcha would impart any flavor, and I'm not sure it has, but I did it for the color anyway, so I'm happy there. crumb's pretty good, I think--at least for me--and I didn't over-proof after getting them in the pans which is a perennial problem for me.
not a bad bake

@ice I feel you. I've never gotten into streaming because if I'm paying money, I'd rather buy a copy than just license it: that's why I bought CDs for so long since streaming on mobile became practical. I've come round to downloads though, primarily because I no longer have a CD player, but also for environmental reasons. (I still buy CDs sometimes though.)
