Retro SciFi of the Week…

Radar Men from the Moon (1952)

Jetpacks have been featured in science fiction since the 1920s. Perhaps most recently in Tomorrowland (2015). The character in this film wears a metal helmet that makes him look kind of like Iron Man, and that 1960s comic book character was likely based on the character from this film. The Iron Man comics character has seen a recent revival on the big screen with Marvel’s film franchise.

This film (Radar Men from the Moon) is full of contemporary references from the 50s -- definitely worth watching if you enjoy studying history through film. It was originally a movie serial, later released as a feature film.

Perhaps you could pace them out a bit. Maybe make them longer (put the info into a few longer toots, or something). Otherwise people will just mute your account and then no one every see them.

Well, the edges of the mouth are curved up compared to the middle of the mouth, so I count that as a smile rather than a grimace. :smile:

I thought it was me running. I’d look out and try to follow a path along the side of the road with my eyes as if I was trying to follow that path. Then our car would go into a tunnel or there’d be some obstruction that would end the path I was following and it would be very dissatisfying.

I think maybe you were also trying to follow that path but perhaps it was easier to imagine someone else doing it.
