QOTO doesn't block servers, so the servers decided to block themselves. It's self-selected curation. Anyone who wants their eyes shielded by another for arbitrary reasons is probably not the kind of curious, inquisitive person that I prefer interacting with on social media anyway.
All one can do is try to publicize the fiasco so that those who are curious can leave the draconian servers and come to the light of reason and open discussion.

The issue with the list is that it clearly suppresses evidence that is not in line with the operators opinions, effectively lying by ommitting relevant context to distort the truth.
See my list on the talk page.. Despitte being respectful and showing a mountain of evidence to disprove the evidence claimed for QOTO on the block list none of this evidence was actually added (in fact in response they added another entry claiming I harassed her). Instead despite the polite mention I was blocked.

This isnt a case of "admins make up your own mind".. this is a case of explicitly lieing, presenting on the cherry picked out of context evidence to support your agenda and suppressing all evidence that disproves the claim int he block.
Is that really a block list you want to support? I mean come on the majority of instances on the list dont even bother providing evidence.

Hoping the #ufoi becomes the standard to which everyone looks for in an instance before signing up. I see a lot of potential in this fediverse stuff and we don't need the few dictating how the majority should feel.

Proof that the new "fediblock" on the wiki run by Paula intentionally suppresses counter-evidence and proof towards block entries. Despite the fact that I provided tons of proof that show the "evidence" provided for a block against QOTO is false they refuse to updatte the block with the additional evidence and effectively suppresses countner evidence.
This is why there needs to be Due process like im trying to build with the #UFoI and not just one dictator named paula cherry picking what evidence she thinks is valid and blocking the rest.

First thing I want to do is go through all the issues in the repo and try to comment or add my opinion on them.

I hold the philosophical position that if two things are indistinguishable, their difference is irrelevant.
"What if we live in a simulation?" -- irrelevant

A month ago I became #NewOnMastodon, still learning, but liking it more and more here.
As an #EarthSystem scientist I am fascinated about the #CarbonCycle, especially in the #ocean and how we quantify it with Earth System #models in past, present, and future climates.
#ClimateChange is essentially a #CO2 problem. It is virtually impossible to be a #ClimateScientist without becoming deeply concerned about #ClimateEmergency.

I am with you @f3ttt , if I find a troll, I block it. I too have never been subject to big attacks but may be my use is very limited or use case is different from those who have faced such harrasment and there must be good reasons for such actions.
I believe some thing are best left to the choice of individuals who are using the medium. Another good server you can find where they allow good sense and good science to thrive is qoto.org tagging
May want to try it out.
