One day I'd had it with the gajillion snails in my garden and decided to take one long dark evening with a flashlight to catch all snails I can find.

Pleeeeenty of copulating snails too, and my gloves were terribly slippery at the end of the hunt!
Afterwards, the amount of plant damage was reduced drastically, though. :D

Yeah, I'm not really a romantic.. :P

Had a chat with a coworker yesterday about how in world maps the African continent doesn't seem that very huge, while we're both pretty aware that Africa is actually bigger than it seems.

I was vaguely aware that the curvature of the Earth isn't really helping matters much, but there seems to be a little bit more to it according to this site:

Also, even though I was aware that some countries/continents were smaller/bigger than what they seem like on maps, I wasn't really prepared for that huge a difference! Greenland, for example, is actually just a very small part of Africa's size!

@freemo Amazingly vile, indeed! I've tried eating them, cooking 'em up and stuff. Nothing tastes good.

The only time I like mushrooms is in a champignon creme soup. Those can be delicious! I always fish out the solid chunks first if they happen to have those. :P
