@lydiaconwell Nah, it's like Alphabet is to Google that Meta is to Facebook. It's just an umbrella company to tell them apart.

@axxss That's why I don't want tuna on my Frutti Di Mare pizza. I like tuna, but it'd be the only one I taste otherwise...

@Acer Limited time? Darn it! Soon we'll have to suffer like the time before the sixties, having to do everything in black and white again!

@lydiaconwell I've tried this nettle tea.

My first impressions is that it doesn't taste awful, so that's good! It was a bit blander than expected, maybe I need to learn this taste or add some honey. But even with 3+ minutes infusing it doesn't taste bitter like black tea, so honey is probably not even necessary at all. Just need to try it out some more.

The aftertaste was pretty fine. It even seems to have something sweetish aftertaste, even though I've not added any sweeteners.

The result is that I'm willing to try this more times. I still have a bunch of teabags left, so I definitely can get to experiment with it some more. Might be a nice solution as a 'tea before going to bed' thing!

@lydiaconwell Why? I am the one who has to taste this, not you! 😋

Ik vind de rups ook wel leuk.

@soundwave Just wanted to tell you that your post is basically a giant wall of text. A few more newlines would make it a lot better readable.

@lydiaconwell I've bought nettle tea and ginger-withsomethingelse-withsomethingelse tea, and even a piece of ginger itself. I'll try the nettle this evening probably. Just thought I'd let you know!

@freemo
Well, yeah, especially as with supermarkets you don't really earn that much for a normal living wage. Never intended to be. If you're too expensive they'll just hire a fresh student barely 16 years old.

@louisrcouture

@freemo Scrooge McDuck owns one, I know all about it! Take that, Flintheart Glomgold!

@freemo
My thought is more like... is it important to *love* your temp job? If it's just a few years, and it's generally not your livelihood but just something extra to your student/retirement life, then apparently people don't mind.

If you're going to do a long term job, basically your career, then it's important you at least like it. So if you learn to be a coder and you don't like it.. well, not a good career path then?

@louisrcouture

@freemo In the Netherlands, most of the people stocking shelves are students. They're the cheapest and generally get 'kicked out' when they get too old. And for students, it's an easy job to get a quick buck.
I also have seen some elderly around my area stocking shelves.

@louisrcouture

@lydiaconwell Probably depends on your OS' settings. I believe it's customizable.

@freemo All of them, because I don't even know what they are. :P

@freemo Neat. Know what could be neater? To show from year 1 to year Now a li'l animation on how many more nodes got added over time. :D It should be utterly awfully crowded by now.

@freemo Hehehe, never had them myself, but I've seen them at work before. Especially handy for the big places. :)

How come this kind of networking isn't in use anymore? Isn't it much easier cabling-wise?
