@DavidBlue That was the site I referred to. That site has last changes from 8 years ago, so it seems possible that a lot of unicode got added in the meantime which isn't displayed here?

I kinda doubt that it'll still be 'one page' nowadays. ;)

@DavidBlue That one worked out. Seems the same as the one from the site you linked to earlier.

For some reason I expected a bit more emoji stuff, heh. I mean, are all those emojis also not unicode?

@DavidBlue It just doesn't download to begin with.

When clicking on the link, the built-in PDF browser of Vivaldi claims 'Failed to load PDF document'.

So I went to 'Save link as...' instead, and it simply just has the temporary file sitting there, no download activity, 0 bytes all the way.

@Acer Heh, you've got quite a fascination with Jojo lately, don't you?

I've got an autoscript running in Bitburner to automatically do a crime every 3 seconds (homicide in this case, I'm so bad...). With a bit of luck (or just a long wait) I can have -54000 (yes, minus fifty-four thousand) karma in 15 hours so that I can form a gang in BitNode 4.1 and actually start earning money.

Aaaaand.... that is actually the power of BitNode 4.1, it introduces access to automating a few things including criminal activities. And I'll have access to this in other BitNodes too if I manage to break BitNode 4.1.

Just to wait 15 hours now, heh. ;)

@ztx It was pretty much summarized, of course, hence the quotation marks. Though you can see in the media Russian officials consistently talking about 'Special Operations' and trying to avoid talking about 'invasion' at all.

Not sure they're still keeping up that act as I'm not really watching those videos (most aren't subtitled or not adequately, I'm at a disadvantage with videos). They ought to realize that almost nobody's buying it outside of their Russian news bubble.

But I've read articles (Like this one here in Dutch: nos.nl/artikel/2420942-ik-weet ) about Ukrainians who have family in Russia. Those Ukrainians had to evacuate to another country because their city got bombed, and their family members in Russia refused to believe that it's because of Russian soldiers. Even when sent pictures of the whole thing, they're claiming that it is Ukrainian troops scaring the population. Not sure where the logic is in that, but it shows to me that Russian propaganda's pretty effective there.

Of course, you could claim that all what I've read is propaganda too, and that is also a possibility. Though the rest of the world usually have more independent reporters around than Russia which has introduced very strict laws that can imprison you for 'misinformation' which is very open to interpretation. Very convenient for the ones in charge over there, I'll grant you that.

@unpopop When free speech harms people, that's pretty much where it ends.

There are seriously people believing that there are no Russian armies in Ukraine 'because Putin said so'. That's not really helping resolve the war anytime soon.

@unpopop From those big companies announcing publicly they're leaving Russia.. yeah. It's not like they wanted to be there anyway because of the unstable Ruble.

But banning/sanctioning in general does seem to have quite an effect so far.

@bezdarbor Those hardcore types are basically gatekeeping the term for some serious competitive gaming. But I can work with it either way, I don't care!

I doubt my mom would call herself a gamer though, even though she plays mah jongg and bridge on her tablet often. :)

@Acer I dunnoooooo.. I know plenty of people I wouldn't mind leaving.

@Acer Was the past lost? Usually people are lost in the present.

@Sphinx Mm, it's daylight savings in 2 weeks here. (27 march to be precise).

@Pat The mere fact you know your posts have grammatical errors isn't making me jump up fast to correct you. ;) Oh, I might if I spot them, but I'm not 100% paying attention to those.

Whereas @Sphinx genuinely wouldn't know if he made a mistake, so I'm willing to help him out there whenever I see that.

@Sphinx But would you like it if I correct you when I think something's wrong? Some people don't like getting corrected, so that's why I'm asking. Definitely not on a high horse here. ;)

@Pat

@al1r4d Heh, you won't get banned on qoto for having a different or unpopulair opinion.

But I can take a guess here and I'm suspecting I might not like you very much if that's indeed the case. ;)
