@GuusvanLienen@mastodon.social I've long ago given up on putting my oven on the right time. What matters is that you remember the current Oven Time <tm> and then count off the right amount of minutes.

Or just grab your smartphone and use a wonderful timer app. :P

@inspired To avoid getting another pic taken, most likely.

@inspired Hehe, yours seems to make quite a mess of it. :D

Just had my neighbour at the door. He asked if I could trim the plants from my garden which are hanging over the fence into his garden. The leaves are dropping and making a mess of that corner of the garden apparently.

I told him he's perfectly allowed to trim the part hanging over the fence. But he actually wants _me_ to trim them because they are _my_ plants. (Very specifically emphasizing that, _my_ plants.)

No can do, I said. Arm hurts, so it would be a while. Maybe I'd get around to it at the start of spring. It's why my garden's been unswept for a while now. Then he asked if I could call in someone else's help to trim the plants for me... 🤨

He had 'enough stuff to do' that he couldn't do it he said. Uh, well, yeah, my arm gotta heal first, so I can't do it and no, I can't call anyone for it either. 'But it is a neighbourly thing to do', yeah well, you'll have to wait then. He asked if I could do it in like 2 months' time or so? Eventually yeah, because 'snoeien doet groeien' (trimming makes the plants grow).

But that's kinda weird to me, because in 2 months the leaves would be gone and it'd be after the fact for the reason he wanted those plants trimmed in the first place. 😜

Anyway, so yeah. I definitely want to trim them eventually, probably early spring. But that he wants _me_ to trim them and not do a thing himself at all, feels like a bit a weird vibe to me. If he'd just cut off the parts hanging over the fence now, then there'd be less mess in his garden sooner. :blobshrug:

@StroomAfwaarts @Lucseleventje @martijn Yeah, I knew that. Just curious what other senses get enhanced in your case?

@juliette My heart is melting something fierce at seeing this cute one. Reminds me of my cat when he was that young. :blobcatlove:

@tho@c.im Lol, he just ate before the bowl licking. :D
He just loves this as a dessert type of thing.

@KDala And quite irrelephant as long as you can interact with others. ;)

Whenever I eat my cereal with yoghurt, my cat waits patiently until I'm done. He loves licking the bowl clean afterwards.

@Lucseleventje @martijn Well, my eyes certainly are sensitive! Though that's for different reasons.

But I can feel some heavy sounds easier before anyone else does. I can definitely feel when my neighbours are slamming doors, heh.

@STORM Ooh, southern hemisphere. Neat, at least your days are getting longer. It's the opposite here. :(

@louiscouture Outch, just read up about that condition, sounds exceedingly annoying. Is your vision blurry yet, or is it in the beginning stages where you still can do something about it?
