Did you know that the European Union had an official Mastodon instance where only official EU institutions could open an account?

social.network.europa.eu/explo

No need to pay for a blue checkmark, accounts on this instance are, by definition, officials.

That’s Fediverse done right!

@HarryBrandt@mastodon.social Half twitter zou zo'n 100 miljoen moeten zijn.. zoveel gebruikers hebben wij niet op de Fediverse. :P

✨ Finding the perfect #pixelfed instance will soon be much easier!

We made it easy for admins too, they can manage their listing from the admin dashboard.

The new pixelfed.org website will be rolling out later this week 🚀

@ambulocetus ... heh. ;)

I did have to look it up, but that's a good one. ;)

@medigoth I particularly like the 4th picture. Not everyday that 2 people can shake hands with a handy alien.

@lydiaconwell Noon time is nap time. Or at least somewhere in early afternoon! I love getting a nap then, I'm an expert at it!

@hendrickx@mastodon.social Ik heb een nieuwe telefoon nodig. Die van mij valt bijna uit elkaar. :P

@medigoth I know absolutely nothing about this, so color me clueless.

@medigoth Mmm, I can see what it would mean, but I can't think of a situation when I would use it.

I do use the word 'terribad' though.

@chattwjonathan It's kinda ridiculous when you realize that northern USA (not counting Alaska) is basically the same level as the southern half of Europe.

But yeah, we've got overall a very mild sea climate. A little bit more east (into Germany) and you've got more chances on snow already as it changes into a more land climate.

@chattwjonathan Huh neat. And there I am, with my sea level country. ;) We get plenty of rain though.

@chattwjonathan Oh, do you get snow that far south? I thought basically the southern half of USA wouldn't get snow.

Wow, uh. The helper who is at my house every week had a bit of an issue with her organization and cried. So I offered her coffee, loaded up Google Transcribe (she doesn't know sign) and let her get it allllll out of her system.

Glad to report that she went away (after a whole hour!) with a smile on her face, so that's great. It drained me though. Hard to focus on lipreading and Transcribe so long. I'll need to have a little bit of me-time now before I go off to my next appointment.
