My brain hurts. But I think I'm capable of recognizing most hiragana letters now. Drawing them is a bit a different matter, but the phone apps will likely help me out there. I'll review this randomly over time.

I'll check out this dakuten kana tomorrow. That doesn't look too tough, it looks like hiragana with some little symbols added to change the consonants. I already accidentally got in touch with those via the phone apps, so I kinda know what to expect. Just a matter to memorize which symbol is for what consonant. :P

As a li'l bonus, I've rewatched part of an anime and I could actually spell out most names displayed in Japanese. :D Hell yeah!

Oh nifty. Joplin seems to have auto-save now (probably had it for a while already, haven't checked in years). Might give this a try again, need a good note taking app.

Hmm, they really put a lot of emphasis on stroke order in Japanese script. Compared to that, writing down our Latin alphabet is quite sloppy.

There was still some snow when I woke up. I threw some snowballs at my cat, he caught some of them in mid-air. Brr, cold. He agreed and fled inside when he'd had enough. πŸ˜‹

Extremely thin layer of snow over stuff outside. Not enough to be wowed by it, and it's far too dark now. It will likely be gone by tomorrow morning.

#pharmacy

As the resident pharmacist of SQV, I wanted to do a comprehensive thread on vaccine information and safety to dispel any rumors, myths, and/or misinfo out there about the newly available covid vaccine . Unfortunately, with the influx of new members, there seem to be more anti-vaxxers than there was before. So I felt this thread necessary for anybody who is on the fence about taking it. I am a registered pharmacist and have been practicing since 2013. According

Maybe I should ask IT at job to buy Affinity Publisher for everybody instead. That software actually seems to be able to do everything one would've expected Microsoft Publisher to be able to but somehow doesn't.

I absolutely love Dark Reader. Teams' built in editors hurt my eyes because of all the brightness. But hey, they allow me to open the document in the browser! Dark Reader to the rescue!

Every time I've worked on my work laptop, I'm always so glad to be back on my semi-work laptop. The work laptop is just a thing of misery because of the shitty VPN connection. Thankfully Teams works on both, so I can continue on this dream that's my semi-work laptop.

More carnage! Another gigantic explosion! A third town blasted by fire and fury! This time... it was intentional! πŸ˜‹

I just nuked the capital. No, the bomb was not disguised as a lion corpse this time!

Hehehehehe, my bro bought a house in Spain a few years ago because of the climate there. Nice and warm he says...

Well, he's there now and there's snow. πŸ˜‚

Wherever I go, disaster strikes. I might as well have nuked this village too. Somehow I've started a huge fire there. 😝

"It wasn't me, officer! It was this hellhound and its buddies that started the fire!"

"Well, how did that hellhound get into this village?"

"Ah, eh, uum... Hey look! A three-headed monkey behind you!"

"You pick up some rocks because you like carrying things."

Sometimes a game's text is hilarious like that. :P In this case that line comes from Dungeon Rats.

Yeah... this village ain't looking too great. πŸ˜‚ Wonder if they'll rebuild this eventually or if it'll be permanent.

Come on, whoever would've thought of a lion corpse disguised as a nuke??

At least I'm getting some more unique cards and figurines for my museum now. πŸ˜‹

*blink blink* Ok that's new to me. I looted a dead lion corpse from the cat-infested cellar. I could 'use' it, okay, so I did, kinda expecting to wear it as a disguise. Then it turned out I placed a nuke.

So, um... I apparently nuked a village, with a nifty mushroom animation. :blobooh:

Now to get my karma up again, I'm a criminal now. 😝

It's still too early to say, but I'm cautiously optimistic about the new nosespray.

@claudiom@mastodon.sdf.org The coolest game we had on our school computers (because face it, our PCs at home were usually better :P) was some sort of typing game with laz0rs.

Whelp. Those ones who did the typing cursus managed to get a score of about 300-400 points... That was considered to be pretty good! One guy even managed to get to a whopping 600 points!

Imagine me entering the scene and keep typing until my eyes were basically giving up. I ended up with 1600 points. :P

I've tried a few years later to play that same game on my own computer. It was impossible because of the much higher speed. :D
@256

I have just returned from the hospital where I took an allergy test. I've got bad news and good news.

Bad news: Seems I've got no allergies to the common stuff. So the mystery of my stuffy nose is still not solved. :(

Good news: I'm definitely not allergic to cats (and dogs)! YAY!!

In the meantime I've received a stronger nosespray that hopefully helps.

I think there should be a lame movie name for this event. The kind where you go to the cinemas with a huge bag of popcorn and just munch your way through the shitty action scenes.

Enemy at the Capitol.
Fake Lies.
The Divider (1 & 2).

Any others? πŸ˜‹
