Welp. I blocked my first domain "freespeechextremist". I'm all for free speech -- I consider myself a 'free speech absolutist'. However, I have no patience for idiots who make social media accounts just to see how uncomfortable they can make others feel.
@msilpala I think as he said, Mastodon.social is overloaded and sounds like it cant keep up with everything so its causing these bugs.. it doesnt appear to be any issue on our end.
Its a QOTO feature and yes you can access it from our web client.
It lets you follow a user without them knowing you are following them and without them needing to approve of you as a follower if it is locked down.
The down side is you will only see their public posts and any follower-only posts you cant see unnless you follow.

Earlier today Mastodon.social had a broken SSL cert that was making it impossible to follow people. It was a bug on their end.. I thought they fixed it, but it looks like they are still having problems. I am fairly certain this is an issue on their end.
@Gargron is their admin, maybe he can tell us whats going on.
Nevermind, im seeing the same problem.. are you sure they dont have the server blocked? im looking into this...
I just tried to follow each of them and my follow request worked fine and is nnot pending. Is it possible maybe they blocked you for some reason?
