@supergarv Where'd you get the faultier one? Asking for a friend who claims this is his spirit animal. ;)

@dusan Some already completely ditched their Twitter account. And I'm not sure what conveniences have to be sacrificed, because IMO the Fediverse is a lot more convenient. Every time I'm on Twitter I'm close to popping a vein in frustration.

@SebastienK Grappig, ben ik nog niet echt tegengekomen in onze lokale tijdslijn... Klinkt best irritant.

@marind

In their about page they list the blocked servers on the bottom:
masto.donte.com.br/about/more

They have not put in a reason. You'd best ask them why because we don't know.

@marind You'd better ask the other instance. Qoto doesn't block by default.

Ok, Mastadon is officially a lot more awesome than I had realised. There's a federated server for everyone who's really into bitcoin, and, yes, it is full of people who are as awful as you can imagine. But, with one click, you can block the entire domain! 12.8k thousand crypto weirdos filtered out in a click. Amazing.

@sindastra I was thinking of the fallacy and decided not to vote. ;)

@aiju@queer.af 😂 Oh I have to tell this my German buddy, he'll totally understand!

@Jim_Salmons @freemo Accounts from other servers will be able to see the full toot. No worries. :)

: IT'S COMPLICATED.

(And that's why smaller, independent, decentralised servers — like those running — have a much better chance at striking the right balance and keeping their users happy!)

@shibaprasad Qoto's a modified Mastodon instance. Chances are the client might maybe not play that nice with it. I always recommend the mobile web interface for Qoto.

There are others who use Tusky or Fedilab with success. I always use the mobile web interface. I'm not sure how the official client behaves.
