@AllBetsAreOff It won't get cut off, they'll see the whole post. If a post is longer than a certain length, it gets "cut off" with a 'Read more' link, so no worries.

The only little annoyance with long posts is when they're behind a content warning, then they won't get cut off with a 'read more' link if you have set up your client to automatically expand any content warning.

But other than that, you're all good.

Once a company goes to the stock exchange, they will change for the worse. I've see that with almost everything so far, I hate this whole system because it won't be for the customer anymore, it will be for the shareholders.

@osfast Not that I know of, but they wouldn't want to admit that anyway. :) Not good for trying to sell themselves off to the stock exchange. ;) But it is the only plausible explanation I've ever read.

Oh and I don't really mind them asking money in itself, no. Just that the price is a tad... high. Just a teeny weeny tad high. :P

@osfast I think the hate is for outrageous prices. I've read somewhere that this is because Reddit is aiming at the AI-people, who want to use Reddit as a source to train their AI. In that case yeah, I can see those prices getting hiked up. The problem is that 3rd party apps for communication, not AI, don't get a chance anymore.

I wonder though, isn't Reddit kinda killing themselves with this? If less people use Reddit because the tools to post with are worse, isn't it less interesting for the AI-bros either?

@hvangalen Thuis staan alle ramen dicht en alle aircos aan. Zal wel meevallen als ik thuiskom... maar op het werk hebben we een plat dak en geen airco. Dit ventilator naast mij is mijn enige verkoeling. 😅

Nah, iedereen kan dat doen. Jij volgt iemand die teveel boost? Gewoon naar hun profielpagina in je Mastodon-webinterface gaan en 3 stipjes klikken en 'hide boosts from...'

There are old pictures of kids playing on the highways and such, devoid of cars.

@bwbeach Ah yes, 1970s. I've read a while ago that this was the period that the Netherlands decided to go more bike centric. Before then it was heading the same way as USA.

I'm glad we went bike centric. I can go to many places by bike.

Honestly a place like New York would've been ideal with a bike.
