People being sent death threats... DDoS on UFoI members, one LGBTQ server in good standing was blocked by 33 other instances for supporting us openly.... Yet they insist there is no problem that needs addressing, to the point they violently oppose an agreement between server admins to engage in transparency, ethics, and evidence in interinstance moderation....

These things prove that the need for the UFoI is very real.

Ryle is now hospitalized after having a heart attack last night. Ryle asked the Awoo! moderation team to write a post on their behalf and to be transparent. The conversation was brief, and we have pieced together most of the details.

Ourselves believe the heart attack was caused by a combination of things, suspect the recent stress involving strong conversations around Fedifence, Fediblock and UFOI. The triggering message was in reply to one of the UFOI threads telling Ryle to kill themselves and with video footage of men brutally stabbing a woman to death. Ryle is unlikely to be around for a while.

This material is heinous and will break rules of other instances, so we are only sending this instance administrators/moderators on request. They are free to share at their own risk the receipts.

I am excited to hear that as of today the user member count int he #UFoI has just hit a record high of ~400,000 user members! That gets us to about 5% fediverse coverage!

First to make a few things clear:
I am autistic myself.
And I have a fairly good understanding of what those kids might go through.

What if they actually _like_ analyzing data and all that? Computers be damned, they're just tools, doesn't mean humans can't have a shot at it too.
Sometimes I am hyperfocused myself, then I make ridiculous lists of lists and whatnot. Waste of time? Oh, _absolutely_, you bet! But was it satisfying to me? Oh _yeah_!

They'll have plenty of time to learn how to socialize, but does that mean you need to put them in a fascist regime that only forces them to socialize and never have _fun_?

After one evening of socializing, I'll be _happy_ to have 3 weeks of no human contact. I don't hate humans, it is just that social contact is _utterly exhausting_.

Maybe try to understand _that_.

I got interested in this #UFOI stuff lately and it makes my brain hurt and heart sink. What a drama on all sides.

I think it's a great example of #MastoAdmin silly games and feuds at the expense of users of these instances. An admin A does not like admin B and that is the reason for blocking thousands of users of B's instance from thousands of users of A. And that we call "moderation", right? Nice! (mind you, if B's users are ugly people in A's userbase opinion _en masse_, that's another story)

I even read from somebody that all what is wrong with an instance is that its users tend to be mildly annoying and that's a good reason to defederate the instance (https://witches.live/@anna/109480217595539880). Lovely. And that's how we want to become a better alternative to corporate social networks? Good luck boys and girls in the #MastoAdmin world! This way you only lose trust of us, the normal users of this network.
