@sergeant@mstdn.social Dat is toch geen '1 plant'? Anders zouden al mijn aardbeienplantjes ook '1 plant' zijn omdat ze zich ook zo voortplanten via hun uitzaaitentakeltjes.

@mur2501

Suske is sometimes a grumpy old boy. 😁 But at times he does want to have some attention and have some pettings even though he usually acts as if he doesn't. Cats gonna cat I guess!

I'm trying to get him gain some more weight but it's bloody hard. He does eat well, but I guess old boys simply won't get heavier anymore. He's turned 13 a few days ago and I gave him some treats.

I'm doing okay, though I fear I'm getting some sort of cold as my sinuses act up again. Lots of off days because of some religious thingies (Pinksteren the coming monday, for example). Honestly? I find it a bit annoying, I just want to go to work, lol. There's plenty of stuff I can do.

What're you doing outside of your studies? Or don't you have any free time at all?

@mur2501 I hope you'll manage to get higher scores then! Good luck!

@mur2501 How could you get higher points? Just curious.

#accessibility post i found on tumblr:

some of you may've heard about that fancy "bionic reading" typefont thats supposed to be easier for #neurodivergent people to read (if you're unfamiliar, it bolds the first few letters of each word to make it easier to follow)

well guess what, its locked behind a $500 a month API to write in because fuck you!

introducing, Not Bionic Reading! it is literally just the bionic reading typefont but for free. god bless neocities

@mur2501 It's something at least. Do you think you passed those exams fine?

@rallias @eqyo That would be a nice addition, indeed. Mastodon isn't always that intuitive. And it still amazes me that so few people actually know of RSS...

@rallias @eqyo The whole thing with RSS is that it's public anyway. If you can't follow via Mastodon, then you certainly can with any RSS reader. Plenty of free online ones available (I use Inoreader by the way). So the privacy thing is moot. As you mentioned, if you don't want your posts to be that visible, then mark your posts as followers-only.

@rallias @eqyo That's correct. I know there are other server software (Friendica?) that has it built in as well. But it is indeed not part of vanilla Mastodon. It should, though, because it's a very handy feature!

Netflix algorithms really suck. Do I watch one programme briefly where a guy is doing his day job but is on the hunt for delicious food in his spare time... now I get bombarded with all kinds of such programmes and most are just stupid. :P

Why can't it instead suggest me some cool scifi after I've watched a few Star Trek episodes?! :P

@WandelStock@mastodon.art @StroomAfwaarts Dat haar is al een hele helm op zich. 😁

A few days ago I finished reading The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman and I liked it enough that I wanted to continue on with the next book in this series: **The Man Who Died Twice**. With the same team of our old people who try to solve murders in their peculiar way.

This time it is serious enough that the MI5 and MI6 are getting involved as well. And the mafia from USA. And some local gangsters. We get to take a peek at Elizabeth's past, watch a bunch of CCTV footages, and frame people in order to get justice done. I mean, people shouldn't have beaten up poor Ibrahim, they had it coming!

I have to say that this started out a bit slow, and I thought 'aw no, I don't really want any secret service involved'. But it did turn out to be a pleasant read once again. Whole sections that _could_ have been boring, weren't boring because of the great interactions of our bunch of septuagenarians. I love the interactions with Joyce, and I love the chapters from her perspective. Though the chapters with Ron and Ibrahim are fun as well.

I read that there are four books planned in total, so there are 2 more books in this series to look forward to. I definitely would want to continue reading about our lovely geriatrics and their antics. And apparently film rights of the books have been sold to Steven Spielberg, so I'm curious if there's any movie forthcoming. I think it'd make a fun movie.

@xieshuyu Seems more useful to try to enjoy yourself first. If you're enjoying yourself, you'll go learn stuff along easier too.

@rastinza Is the question 'I do take psychiatric medication now' or 'I've taken psychiatric medication before'? Yes/No isn't quite covering it.
