@freemo It means that the English colonization has been pretty overwhelmingly powerful back then, heh.

@freemo Yeah, that's what I meant too. Thai doesn't have much in common with China for them to know Chinese in order to communicate via that.

@freemo Euh, nah. Not lingua franca. Many of those funky symbols do have Chinese roots, and the meaning sortakinda might be derived the same, but no.. to my understanding definitely not lingua franca style.
Thailand definitely not.

@freemo The adderall is meant to battle your wonky sleep cycle?

@freemo Sounds more like a combo of your wonky sleeping cycle and jetlag.

@freemo Jetlag is usually when you go from west to east. You did go from west to east, didn't you? How is that 'opposite direction'?

Looks like I managed to crash my Steam Deck. :P (It suddenly rebooted)

I was only trying to add gyro movement to RimWorld, so that I can move around the maps (not mouse movement). Haven't managed to achieve that goal, it just doesn't seem to work.

@cweickhmann Curb your emotions a bit there. :) If this is 'cool and normal', it wouldn't be making it to the news like this. And losing a wheel can happen when you've serviced your car at a shitty repair shop, happened to us too some 30 years ago, it was a weird experience and in our case it ended up okay. The accident in the video is quite an exception. And it's not limited to 'light' trucks, whatever they are. It can happen with any car.

I'm really starting to appreciate that there's a delivery pickup point near my place. I just divert all my packages to there so I can pick them up at a convenient time for me instead of having to be on standby all day in my own house.

The game SUPERHOT definitely is made for the gyro. 😃

3D "shooter", no fast reflexes required, definitely need to be able to look all around you. This might be more fun than when I played it on the PC.

@AncientGood Oh, it is Super Adventure Box time again? I've not played GW2 in ages, bit too big a size, don't have the space atm, heh.

@Drosmel Yes, I have. That was a start for me to understand gyro a little bit more. But it isn't quite up to par with Portal 2's freedom of movement hehehe.

I like the gyro in 3D puzzle based games or 3D exploration games, I think. I still need to get used to the controls, and I wonder what the best action is to turn around if I don't want to do a 180 in my lazy chair. 😋

I've played a session of Portal 2 and a bit of Aer. Portal 2 was fun, looking absolutely everywhere with the gyro, though sometimes it's at awkward angles. Gotta figure out what the best strategy is to look around smoothly. I also think I have to rebind a few keys there as having to let go of the gyro to grab or push something is a bit annoying.

@mur2501 I'd suggest to search the hashtag of it, it looks like there are a bunch, yes. (And add a hashtag yourself for better discoverability)

@Paulos_the_fog I'm sure they go in like in the dukes of hazzard. Through the window. ;)

*Chuckles* That was adorable.

Teacher with a little girl, who's obviously a bday girl if her festive hat was anything to go by, is going around the classrooms and offices to hand out treats.

She handed me the whole box, and I signed: "Can I have all of that?" She nodded yes. I was wide-eyed, "Allllll of that?!" The teacher signed to her, "Nono, they can't have all of that, it's just one they get out of the box!" Oh yeah!

So the girl signed "One thing" "Oh, phew, okay, thank you, I was already afraid I would have to become fat!" And then I grabbed just one treat out of the box and gave the box back to her, hehe.

The teacher thanked me and I'm just amused by this interaction. 😋

@Amikke @nixCraft Nonono, go turn the tables against them. If they require technical support, just tell them they're somewhat of an engineer, they can solve it alright, no need to bug you. 😇

@gpowerf Wait, would they generally supply roms along or..?
