@cody_is_typing I really have no clue. But then, I really don't want notifications so never bothered. ;)
You could still have a client on the side just for notifications?
@freemo

@cody_is_typing @freemo In cases like this I'd just suggest to use the mobile web interface since it's very mobile friendly and utilizes all the features that Qoto has to offer. ;)

Spider

@gino It reminded me of a squid. Funky.

@bengoli Oh sure, it's fine. I'm just giving my piece of mind on how Twitter operates it. :)

@bengoli And I'm so glad I don't see what other people liked. If they cared about it, they'd just boost... I get so tired of Twitter because I barely see my buddies' posts anymore, only what they liked.

I need to turn on my work pc first before attaching my laptop to the dock... That was confusing as this one monitor decided it wanted to serve my dock rather than the PC. 😅

@grudgecat Ah no, you can block whoever you want (preferably not the admin/moderators on Qoto though :D). You gotta keep your sanity, that's important!

if you were wondering what happens when oulipo.social (doesn't allow the letter E) meets dolphin.town (only allows the letter E): dolphin.town/users/e/updates/2

@StroomAfwaarts @sergeant Tjongejonge, ze laten ook werkelijk iedereen toe he?!

😋

@ceoln Posts, Statuses, Toots. All's fair to me.

The Fediverse has more platforms than just Mastodon. Only Mastodon used Toot.

coding, class project, game dev

@chee If you meant to interact with them I'd recommend using the reply feature instead.

The quote-toot is making a first post (breaking any conversation threads) and just have someone's toot quoted to bring it to attention. They're not getting notified of what you just asked.

@bykimbo Well, isn't Maurice kinda a starving stray, trying to earn some small food? Man, he's looking fat here. ;)

It just all seems off. I'll just wait and see. It'll probably stray off the story a bit as most animations seem to do.

@daeyoung @strawd Mastodon is heavily hashtag-driven, there's no plain text search (and there's a historical reason for that).
So, if someone's talking about a fire in colorado, they might want to hashtag colorado at least if they want to be discovered by others.

On top, we have public feeds where anyone can see their posts (unless it's marked as unlisted).

@peterdrake Bluffing through teaching a stats class? How do I envision that? ;)

@grudgecat We don't block by default on Qoto since Qoto give that power to the users.

But we have nifty block tools, you can even block whole domains. So if there's a server full off asshats.. well, bye bye server from your feeds!

You might want to check this post
qoto.org/@freemo/1093036879382
for a fairly decent blocklist to get it fairly over with.
