Finally after all those years I'm making use of one of those little greenhouse boxes I have.

My mother got this nice leafy plant called 'Kindje op moeders schoot' (Tolmiea menziesii), which in English has been nicknamed 'piggyback plant' because new leaves are growing on top of old leaves.

You can cut off the larger leaves and replant them. I'm going to try to make them root so I can put them in my garden and hope they can spread there. Should be great to cover the soil in the shadow-rich areas which are kinda bare right now.

At any rate, it's a very fun-looking plant.

@gpowerf Mm, maybe a pic in a few months. He doesn't drive that thing often and it's in one of the garage boxes in town.

He likes his Ford Mustang and that old-ass Mercedes more to drive in. During great weather, also an MG-C. Or MG-B, I don't know which one it is. Like I said, cars aren't really my thing lol.

@gpowerf Pretty damn old indeed. I think the oldest car my dad has is a Chrysler Desoto, and that's probably a 30s car. So not quite 100 years yet but pretty close. :D

@gpowerf Damn, that's ancient. ;)

Though I can see old cars regularly too, my dad's into oldtimers himself. :P Unfortunately for him I have zero interest in them.

@freemo

The number of people killed by guns, the number of people SAVED by guns..

But, what about this: If guns were not allowed, the number of people SAVED by guns would need to be less too?

@jaysonmassey

@osfast Dat had ik gisteren. Ff lekker een nachtje slapen.

@tripu And -that- is what pure logic looks like. Cold.

It's not a dance! It's a firebending form! It's thousands of years old!

- Oh yeah? What's that firebending form called?

*Grudgingly* ... the Dancing Dragon..

- *Laughter*

@hvangalen Ja, je hebt waarschijnlijk een eitje teveel besteld!

@kemal Ahh.. I see.

But, how do other networks do it then? Because then in the case of Nostr (I don't know this one, I'm just going by the info you gave me), if it is yes-ish decentralized according to your idea of decentralization, it means that your data would be stored somewhere on a master server of sorts? Which would mean that it wouldn't be decentralized after all. (Guess that's why the yes-ish..)

I think what you think of as decentralized is very hard to achieve. Maybe for a Tor-network or sometihng?

@kemal Oh I wasn't thinking about positive/negative, don't worry. :) It's just that I don't understand why you think Mastodon isn't decentralized. Because Mastodon advertises itself everywhere as decentralized. And, technically, it is. It can federate with other servers, but it's still decentralized. It's not depending on one master server to communicate with each other or anything.

@kemal Just wondering why you think Mastodon isn't decentralized. Federation and decentralizaiton aren't mutually exclusive?

@pieist Well, I like to see the screen quickly when I plug it in to see what the % of charge is at. But it'll be at its home screen and thus not be accessible to things as much. It'll turn off soon enough.
