@sean Just buy 2 or 3 games, not too expensive, no AAA titles, then you can get far without breaking bank. ;)

@johnabs Thanks. Currently coughing my lungs out to get rid of the solid slime.

Well, at least the sneezing and nose leaking has stopped... Especially the sneezing was damn annoying.

Now I just have to deal with sore muscles around my ribcage while coughing... :P

@johnabs See the maps. ;)

And of course I live in the north. :P I wouldn't want to live in Amsterdam area myself, too busy. You can opt for delivery though. Costs a few euro but it's still a possibility. Just not same-day delivery naturally.

The first two maps is of the Albert Heijn supermarket chain. My favorite supermarket, but their amount of pickup points is lagging behind on Jumbo, my 2nd favorite supermarket... That's the third map.

I like the app of AH more though. Well, if it allows me to log back in... something bugged out. :P But otherwise it's one of the best supermarket apps there is. Jumbo's app is alright.

No clue what other chains (Lidl, Aldi, Dirk, Poiesz, Edah, DEEN, Hoogvliet, MCD, Spar, Vomar, PLUS, Coop... etc... :P) offer. ;) They're smaller chains for the most part, so maybe not much in terms of delivery or pickup.

Chances are that you can just visit the 2-3 ones around the corner wherever in NL and it won't be too busy if you shop at sensible times (early morning, just before closing, etc... don't do a saturday on an afternoon is all I'm saying!)

@cweickhmann Acre feet...? Isn't acre a surface area unit? How do you do volumes with that one?

@fraggle@octodon.social I bet the majority of the code would be along the lines of 'WORK ALREADY YOU FUCKING PIECE OF CODE SHIT!'...

@johnabs Technically speaking my supermarket chain offers that option... at pickup points in other towns. :/ Bit silly to drive 20 minutes out to pick it up while the supermarket is pretty much around the corner here.

@lucifargundam I'd love to see them doing that while wearing glasses. :P

@mur2501 Oh, not bad! You can do some nice stuff with it! :D That'll also be useful for your studies. ;)

@freemo

@stux That's why as soon as there's an ad I record it, and will continue watching that programme later where I can skip the ads...

I'm very very good at watching programmes with a delay. ;)

@mur2501 Woo, grats with the new toy! Always nice to upgrade!
Just curious which one it is. :)

@freemo

@eqyo In the 90's (yes, previous century) I've lived in the USA for 4 years.

I already knew then that I wouldn't want to live there.

With the current shitstorm going on, I definitely know I don't want to live there.

@skyblond Glad to read you're still alive. 🤗
Try to relax, life's not getting easier but it shouldn't get to you that much either. Just do your best in whatever you want to do.

@Amikke I'm kinda a cheapskate lol. Plus I've never done this remote shopping before. Maybe someday, but for this one time I didn't find it worth the hassle to learn it.

What drives me mad while I'm sick? That I can't grocery shop.

So I sent my parents to do the job. I thought my list was very clear, and yet they make a lot of mistakes still...

Next time if I ever need to send them out again, I probably should create a grocery list in the form of a fucking picture book.

I swear this might be my number one reason to hate being sick.

@faticake Mmm, I don't think I like psychological novels in general. I might skip that suggestion, but thanks!
