@ceoln Well, if I reply to you with public mode on.. it won't end up in the public timelines. It doesn't really affect responses very much.

If someone follows me and you, they will see this in their home timeline. But the response is still fairly obscure to the rest of the Fediverse.

Now if I quote-tooted your post there, I'll post it as if it's my own post, but with yours attached. I can add commentary like 'See, this person has found this thing, it's intriguing!' or something, and this'll end up in all the public timelines because I made a post, not a response, and your quoted post gets highlighted with this.

@freemo @kjr Plus that if it is harassment, it can be reported and we will act accordingly.

So far it's mostly used for highlighting scientific publications here.

Ah yigh, I'm now noticing the aftereffect of having tea spilled over my keyboard the other day. My ESC and ` buttons are very... I'd use the Dutch word 'stroperig' for it. :P As if there's a layer of syrup sticking stuff together below those buttons which makes those buttons very hard to press and slow to react.

I guess I'll have to grab my other keyboard soon. And then screw open this affected keyboard to cleanse it, heh.

@deNew_John Looking good and simple. We're planning simple but very filling meals too the coming days. :) Real Dutch meals too! For us Xmas is 25th and 26th. So today we'll probably order Chinese takeout, lol.

Yes I know you don't pull from whole versions. But what was vanilla Mastodon version at when you pulled for the last time is a question that's still valid!

How can you have pieces of v4 code if you've not updated Qoto in a while and v4 is fairly recent?
And which feature(s) from v4 do we have then?
