@Pat Possibly because vaccination % isn't high enough and/or people didn't respect rules like social distancing at the start?

I kind of got bored with all the open space in the void of SkyFactory 4, so I've started afresh and created a new world in a CompactSky scenario with limited space available.

At first in a Compact Machine with 3x3x3 space with a pair of bonsai pots and an axe. Now I've got some more Compact Machines added; A pair of 3x3x3, a pair of 5x5x5, a 7x7x7, and (via the nether) an 11x11x11.
I gotta reorganize some stuff now that I've got access to more space, but it's keeping me busy again.

It does help that I already got some prestige earned from my earlier play in the void world. I've unlocked a bunch of useful features. The bonsai hoppers were definitely a must here. The rest is a bonus.

It sure is snug in here.

@Pat Haven't had to wear a mask for months now. Only public transport still requires it, and most people do either cloth or custom made.

In fact, as of today social distancing isn't required anymore. We'll see how it goes, but the vaccination % of my country's fairly high, so it might not be too bad. We accept that people can get sick, but so long they don't end up in IC or get Long Covid, it's acceptable. The vaccinations help with lowering those chances.

People are required (and it's still a hot debate here) to show proof of vaccination or proof of testing before entering restaurants and events. We call that the 'coronapas' and can be easily done with a QR code. Either on phone or printed beforehand.

Just finished watching Squid Game. Damn, that is some series.

@shoshin People, especially elderly and with weak immune systems, are highly encouraged to get their yearly flu shots here.

The common cold doesn't have any vaccins I know of. I'd love to get one otherwise as that's my number one enemy.

Sexually transmitted diseases isn't causing pandemics.

This humor seems a bit... off. ;)

@olamina Damn... that's quite a lot of waste. I've never really understood this short-term fashion rubbish. I usually wear clothes until they're totally worn out or just don't fit me anymore.

@Acer Just don't do it too loud in a public space, otherwise the nice men in white might move you to a permanently monitored space.

@freemo You were confusing the hell out of me. To me, ADA means American Disability Act. :P

@Pat
Oh yes, that one trips me up too. I even got corrected once for it a few months ago. :D Let's see if I can remember that one too!

@worldsendless Well, at the main page (before login) was the bottom. But when you're inside, on the left side probably. 'About this server'.

@worldsendless Click on the 'about' link on the bottom, many instances have a list of blocked servers there.
(Hint: yes, mstdn.social has suspended that instance)

I find the concept of sheeple interesting.

Because people who use that word are a little bit like alternative lifestylers, who see themselves as free thinkers without acknowledging they too are following a particular trend.

When it comes to vaccines/covid, to call everyone following the safety measures 'sheeple' implies that those who are against the rules came to that conclusion themselves without any influence from anyone else. ...

#sheeple #covid #vaccine #propaganda

@twotwenty 2&3 probably depends on country. I trust my country fairly much, so I probably have a hard time relating there.

But number 4... aw man, that sucks. I can understand a mandate for specific job professions (working with fragile people for starters, care homes.. that kinda stuff). But normal government work? Your country's going way further with this than ours.

@omniscion Ahh... so either it's on Disney+, or it's on our kids channels which usually isn't subtitled. Either way, I'm going to miss out. ;)
