@freemo Was the first thing I had to think of with your explanation. :D
@freemo Sounds like it's inconceivable!
@ceoln Heh. Mmm. Yeah in that case, keep on fishing.
If any, you could hold a wonderful BBQ. Just not sure the clientele is to your liking. One hisses, one puts arrows in your knees, and one wants to eat your brains. Oh and one want to put eggs in you too.
@ceoln A wooden bowl? Just 3 wood planks in a bucket pattern? Or is this a specific modpack with modified recipes? Or is this some other Minecraft?
Played Unsolved Case with a buddy and that was pretty fun.
Basically we're both detectives, Ally and Old Dog, who get confronted with a mysterious package. Apparently it's related to an old case that we thought was closed, so wtf is going on? We have to communicate with each other via mobiles in-game as we often won't be in the same locations, and one has to guide the other and vice versa to get through a puzzle.
The prequel is free over at https://store.steampowered.com/app/2084050/Unsolved_Case/
Definitely considering the full game heh.

@freemo Looks like Bender going to a disco.
@2ck If you mean why I grabbed that book, it was just random. My mother has an ebook subscription, 8 random novels every month. I have to download it for her and put on her ereader. As such I have access to those books as well and can read any of them anytime too.
So if I feel like reading something, sometimes I grab one from that collection and never quite know what to expect. The title looked interesting enough to me in this case.
This way I have read some nice gems, but also stupid books that I just cannot finish.
@2ck Largely really that, the language used. They're talking normally, doing confrontations the way I could do as well. Plus as an autistic person, it is kind of fascinating for me to see other people's (and in this case it would be the writer's) thought processes that leads to a certain action. This story was largely sane enough for me to enjoy.
So even if it was not my genre (dealing with divorce, with a potential new love, with old memories and getting over it, with maybe losing somebody near you) it was relatable enough.
The writer really did her research, and her own life was also a large influence on the story. The story was realistic in a way that makes you want to read to see how it ends up. Every character had their own behavior and you can't please everybody was very clear to see.
@szescstopni @Britt Ultimately, every instance is in one way or another blocked by some other instances. Qoto wouldn't be an exception with this.
The only exception is that Qoto isn't actively blocking other instances unless for a technical or lawful reason.
At the very least Qoto is trying to not join in this 'block everybody with a different opinion' silliness.
@szescstopni Uuuuuuuhhh... 😋
Oh jeez, another case of raiders trying to attack my base but my allies suddenly popped up to 'help me out' (read: they totally got slaughtered), while I was already busy lining the edges of my killbox with my armed forces.
So the end result? Double loot. From my raiders and from my allies. :P

Whew, finally finished reading 'Alles is relatief' (everything is relative) by Marjolein Vrijenhoek. No more accidentally reading until way past bedtime because you completely forgot about the time.
Totally not my genre though, but her writing style is just so easy to read. So it was too easy to just keep on reading to see what'd happen next.
Basically a woman with her 2 kids go to a camping in France. She just had a nasty divorce behind her. She just wanted to spend the time with her kids and out of nostalgia because she used to go to a camping too as kid.
So, even though she was not planning to pick up any guys there, she did manage to meet one that she likes a lot. But then something happened and she got confronted with her ex again.
Yadda, yadda.
Like I said, not my genre. But damn, that was an easy read. :P Modern language, written in a way that is easy to relate to. That was her first book too, so I think she's got a lot of potential there.

@GoatsLive Oh huh, looks as new. Good job!
@stux I'm still not sure whether that is a shadow or that there are 2 cats synchronized walking together. 👀
@StroomAfwaarts @satan I would likely go for 'Aanmaakhoutje'. 😋
@szescstopni Heh. I do that too. Sometimes the alt text gives a little bit more context, then I can be short and edgy in the actual toot. ;)
@sergeant Goed bezig!
Ik zit hier gewoon te luieren. Maar mijn vakantie is ook bijna voorbij.
@szescstopni Oh, yeah. Without the alt text i wouldn't have spotted it. Well done!
@satan In that case maybe it helps to draw a pun instead! Then you're halfway the 'imagination' at least!
@freemo @admitsWrongIfProven @kjr Mmmm, smoked eel.
I had that so often as kid until the damn fish got too endangered. :P
Main account is now on @trinsec
I've resigned as moderator on Qoto.org since 29-aug-2023.
This one is now a backup account, my activities on Qoto will be low.

Used to be on another mastodon server regularly, but it's been inaccessible since November 2020. So I've decided to join Qoto instead! I like the features this server has to offer.
