@freemo Huh, fancy that. Hopefully nothing too bad, heh.

@arctangent Heh yeah, Black Friday just passed and Cyber Monday is around the corner. Really a week of capitalism now. ;)

@freemo Local feeds or Home feeds? And.. uh in what way?

@NachoNachoMan@masto.ai The web interface, go to your Home timeline, and click on the sliding panel icon next to the Home header. It's right there.

@NachoNachoMan@masto.ai And even your home timeline has the option to toggle boosts and responses easily if you really want to see the original toots only. :)

GOOD NEWS: 24 hours has been determined to be a lot shorter than 'later this week'.

@xasherry Methinks there's an inner pocket where he's got peppermints stashed?

@barefootstache
Remember, you can't back out now. YOU JUST CANNOT!!!

*cough* Welcome! 😋

@ceoln
Your nanowrimo'ing has been pretty consistent, nice! That's a great effort. That little break has helped too I see.

That image was pretty nifty, I'm sure you could think of many fantasy stories. Time to go nadewrimo, najawrimo, nafewrimo, etc? ;)

Also.. Second Life _still_ exists? 👀

@frickinLasers
There's a historic reason why Qoto doesn't block by default. Read a few comments up, @freemo linked the blog post with the history explained.

And every user can block those unwanted domains with ease. If they managed to comment on @ypc_bunsen 's post or you managed to read theirs, then you both have not blocked them, which you cannot fault Qoto for.

Additionally, we have linked to the Fediblock list before that every user can import.

If @ypc_bunsen wants to start their own instance, that is absolutely fine. This is not a prison after all. But to think of excuses like this is a bit lame.

@Pat That is correct. Opening in a new tab opens it outside of your Qoto interface.

@admitsWrongIfProven

@Pat
Not the web frontend profile page. Just click on my name right now, that profile page within your Qoto interface.

@admitsWrongIfProven

@shareefjackson I bet you also like watching that because it means a few hours of rest for you as well. ;)

@Pat
For turning off all boosts in your home timeline, go to your home timeline and click on the options (sliding panel icon, right of your Home timeline header).

For turning off boosts of selected individuals, go to their profile page and click on the 3 dots, there is an option to 'Hide boosts from <name>'. (Only visible on a person you follow)

@admitsWrongIfProven

@admitsWrongIfProven Unfortunately the turning off of boosts are just for your home timeline, and also toggleable per person you follow. I don't know how to toggle them off in your profile page, that would indeed be a useful feature.

@admitsWrongIfProven
Full text search doesn't work on the Fediverse, that's why it's been advised that if you want your posts to be discoverable by others that you use hashtags.

But it will work for all your toots and toots to you, hashtag or not.

But you just want a timeline to look at? Like going to your profile page and just scrolling down in there?

@admitsWrongIfProven Full text search is available for your own toots if that is what you were wondering?
