@War_Kittens I'd suggest trying to use hashtags of certain keywords related to your post for easier findability. The Fediverse leans heavily on hashtags as we don't really support free text search.

See, if you boost it the normal way, only your followers get to see the boost.

If you quote-toot, it gets sent off to the fediverse at large as a post with a quoted toot, and *everybody* gets to see it.

@acjay You're best off blocking the whole instances yourself of certain instances as the instance admins couldn't care less over there.

Qoto has a very open stance here. Whenever possible, we won't suspend (block) servers. We leave that power in the hands of the users, because the users have all the tools available to them.

When an instance actually repeatedly harrass and go out of their way to do so, we might reconsider.

That said, I've blocked a fair amount of instances myself. It takes a bit of time to get to the sweet spot but after that it's a smooth ride.

We prefer this over the walled gardens that some other instances are, who then block more than necessary and make the federated space smaller for themselves.

I can recommend the mobile web interface as that's mobile friendly and Qoto is a modified Mastodon server with many extra features that the app might not cover.

And when you check out the settings on this server, you'll see that there are many ways to follow things in the Follows and Subscriptions section. (This option is specific on Qoto, it doesn't exist on other servers).

I just spotted a 'Domain subscriptions' there, this might be what you're asking for?

@shibaprasad @lucifargundam @BigWhitt I can recommend using the mobile web interface instead. Qoto's a modified Mastodon instance with extra features (check the About page) and they won't all get reflected properly in apps which adhere to default Mastodon standards.

@ambihelical No, it's currently broken. @freemo still got to fix it. In the meantime I'd suggest to use images, plaintext, or markdown to display your equations.

@raphaelboffin Looking at the timeline, I think you probably already got the hang of this.
