@miguelraz At worst Mastodon should just kill your browser (if you've turned on advanced mode it'll take more resources). If your whole CPU fritzes out, it might be worth an investigation in yourhardware. (Or your OS, but I don't know PopOS)

@Drosmel Likewise. I've been in the Fediverse for 5 years, been on 3 different servers (and Qoto's pretty much my home now), and I just... cannot imagine going back to Twitter.

I've tried visiting it there a few times the past few weeks (to evangelize Mastodon ;) ) and man... either there's silent likes, or vocal dislikes. And never a good discussion to be had.

@herid Qoto is very unlikely to go block mastodon.social, as we maintain a largely no-block stance. We believe that the users have all the tools at their disposal to mute/block bad actors.

But yes, we cannot speak for other instances, and we largely disagree with the more strict ones.
